We will use these blogs to keep you up to date with the latest Afan Arts news.

Afan Arts was 4 on the 30th May 2022 and the last few months have been a very exciting time, with our third community film ‘Same But Different’ going into production in August, after a after a two-year delay, due to the pandemic. A two year wait to film right through a heatwave!

Filming

Filming took place over two weeks in August, thirty-five young people from our community came together, working in parity with professional actors. We couldn’t be prouder of every one of them.
Afan Arts uses the power of drama to give young people a voice on subjects that are important to them and relevant to their lives and ‘Same But Different’ tackles the issue and impact of pejorative and negative language and behaviour.
We are in mid post production, including a quick dash down the M4 to the recording studio to add that crucial final line of narration.

With the premiere a few weeks away, we are beavering away to produce an event to celebrate the achievement of everyone involved.  What are we planning?  Shush! It’s a secret.
